Generate PDFs with Airtable data

Generate professional PDFs directly from Google Docs templates, in minutes – no tech skills needed.

It's possible to generate PDFs with both software. But they have a different approach. Plumsmail lets you import documents (docx, Google Docs, PDF, HTML, etc.) or create PDFs using its templates. If you start from scratch, you can create a template in Google Docs without leaving the platform. You can even change the document imported through the Google Docs interface.

Plumsail lets you save or send your new files to Google Drive and Dropbox.

While the features are solid, setting everything up together is overwhelming. Indeed, when you've finished setting up the document, it's a bit complex to know what the next step is.

Plumsail configuration

At Typeflow, we use Google Docs to generate templates. We send an email with the newly exported PDF whenever we generate a new PDF. We also ensure that our process is frictionless and doesn't require technical skills. Indeed, we are here to set things up in less than five minutes.

Typeflow vs Plumsail: Integration

The next step, of course, is to get the data from a source to generate a PDF. Plumsail has some integration software, but initially, it seems they don't have any. Indeed, they encourage users to create forms to generate PDFs. They don't highlight other options.

Plumsail enables users to create forms that generate new PDFs directly. But, if you want an alternative to their form, different integrations can create a new PDF. Indeed, they integrate with Make, Zapier, and Power App. It's also possible to generate PDFs with the API. All those integrations are interesting, but they require some technical skills. Also, if your only use case is to generate PDFs, paying for Plumsail, then Make, Airtable, or Power Apps can be costly. Of course, using API or JSON would cost less, but it requires a technical team. They also have a native integration with Airtable. But again, users aren't aware of it and don't know where to search. Besides, this integration is only available for the paid plan on Airtable.

At Typeflow, we ensure your cost is under control and you don't need technical skills. You can generate PDFs if you have a free or paid Airtable account. We are not going to lie—we don't have as many integrations as Plumsail. But we want to deliver the best experience possible with our Airtable integration.

Typeflow vs Plumsail: Pricing

Typeflow has a unique plan for its launch. For 100$, new users will have a lifetime plan. Plumsail, on its side, has many plans. The starter plan starts at 25$ per month and includes 500 executions per month.
